She's just a 20s girl,
Living in the real world.
With her big girl 9-5 job,
Got through the day without a sob.
Went from living with her best friend,
To now being left stranded.
Restarted this city with little sense of familiarity,
She knew it was time to face reality.
Yes, she was down for a couple of days,
Oh, but she's pieced herself back in so many ways.
She's now strutting through every street,
Be it in shoes or heels on her feet.
Taking each day as it may come,
Saying yes only if it seems fun.
Plays with new boys who she kisses,
Doesn't get held back by the one she misses,
Every day leads to a new adventure,
Puts herself out there even if unsure.
