slowly, and little by little,
Whenever I'd read your name
like a little girl I'd giggle.
It was a fun few months
hanging out with you,
Got butterflies in my stomach
feeling sensations inexplicably new.
Realised gotta hold my horses
and keep my emotions in check,
But I'm in my experience-it era,
So I thought "What the heck".
I held your hand
and you kissed my forehead,
After a fun day
together we'd go to bed.
I liked you and you liked me,
Oh, how everyone in the room could see.
